  Carnival Corporation &plc is the world’s leading cruise company operating distinct brands in both North America and Europe. Headquartered in Miami, Florida, U.S.A. and London, England, Carnival operates a fleet of 100 ships, with another 10 ships scheduled for delivery between now and spring 2014.Carnival has participated / is participating in a number of EU projects to provide end user input, examples being: EC–Dock, DSS_DC, HISMAR, SAFECRAFTS, SAFEDOR, FLAGSHIP, FIREPROOF, GOALDS, NAVTRONIC, SECTRONIC. The Maritime Policy & Compliance department, together with Corporate Shipbuilding has naval architects, marine engineers and other technical staff to support these activities. In addition we can call upon the experience of ship’s staff to provide operator input.
    Role in project

Maritime industry partner and potential end-user, providing operational data and experience in cruise ship design and operations. Carnival participates in the tasks related to the feasibility and reliable application of coating in ocean going ships.
